Morocco travel guide, 4 Days Tour From Marrakech To Desert
Embark on an unforgettable 4-day desert journey from Marrakech to the magical dunes of Merzouga. This adventure takes you through the heart of the High Atlas Mountains, charming Berber villages, and the ancient kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Itinerary:
DAY 1 : MARRAKECH – OUARZAZATE – DADES GORGES
DAY 2 : DADES GORGES – TODRA – RISSANI – MERZOUGA
We start visiting the Todra Gorge to discover the typical villages where we will meet the nomad Berbers of the mountains. Lunch in the Todra Gorge. Then we will take the road to cross the palm of Tinghir (one of the most beautiful and large of Morocco) before reaching the town of Erfoud. From there, we will take the road to Merzouga. We will reach the heart of the dunes on a camel ride to have a traditional dinner, see the stars and hear the famous silence of the desert.
DAY 3 : MERZOUGA – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE
Departure to Ouarzazate via Rissani, origin of the Alawi dinasty, the souk and numerous kasbah. Then we will follow the road to the village of ALNIF for lunch. Then continue through the beautiful valley of the Draa. In the evening arrival to Ouarzazate, where we enjoy a delicious dinner and have a rest.
DAY 4 : OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU-MARRAKECH
Before coming back to Marrakech, we will visit the old Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where many famous hollywood movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia … etc.. have been filmed. We will return to Marrakech through the High Atlas. thank you for exploring Morocco with us.
