DAY EXCURSION FROM MARRAKECH TO OURIKA VALLEY

We cross the plain of Haouz thirty kilometers, then we deviate to Aghmat , now abandoned village that was founded by Berber tribes before the Islamization. At the end of the X century it became the capital , later the region was conquered by the Almoravids (Berber origin tribe) The activity was gradually reduced in favor of Marrakech. All that remains is the mausoleum Moatamid Ben Abbot, Andalusian prince and poet who was captured during the conquest of Seville in 1091.Then we come back to the main road, about 3 km south reaching the trail Caid Dar Ourika, the busiest zoko in the Valley near Marrakech (Mondays)

From The Village, You See The Old Kasbah Overlooking The Valley. Further Down The Path Of Moulay Brahim And The Kik Plateau To Reach The Lake Lalla Takerkoust.

DAY EXCURSION FROM MARRAKECH TO OUARZAZATTE

Located at the confluence of the valleys of the wadi Ouarzazate and the wadi Dades (High Atlas) that make up the wadi Draa, is the main city of the vast region of southern Morocco. Ouarzazate includes both landscapes; the southern foot of the High Atlas and the desert, very close. Countless adobe Kasbahs mountains and arid plains, lush valleys and oasis. The red villages are the charm of this area and its tourist attraction. The city symbol is the Kasbah Taourirt that belonged to the Pacha Glaoui, it was built in the eighteenth century. He is represented in the new 50 dirhams notes.
