Itinerary
DAY 1 : Arrival to MARRAKECH
Morocco visitors company organize Marrakech private tour to Sahara desert via Atlas mountains with experienced driver. Arrival to Marrakech and accommodation in a Hotel in the Medina. Night at Marrakech.
DAY 2 : VISIT MARRAKECH WITH LOCAL GUIDE
Visit Marrakech with local guide exploring famous for the Jemaa el Fna square, which will occupy much of our time: a mixture of smells, sounds and unique sensations. The city also has lots of places you will enjoy: Majorelle Gardens, the Menara, Saaidíes Tombs, walks in the medina or the Mellah (the old Jewish quarter), ramparts tour, the modern city (Gueliz) with its modern lifestyle. Night in Marrakech.
DAY 3 : MARRAKECH – TELOUET – AIT BEN HADOU – OUARZAZATE
In the morning we will pick you up at the hotel or riad in Marrakech. We will cross the High Atlas mountains where we visit the Kasbah of Telouet. Lunch at a great restaurant in the mountains, and along the way we will make stops to admire the scenery and take pictures. Later we visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. We will go through several Berber villages and cross the river Telout. Dinner and night at the hotel in Ouarzazate.
DAY 4 : OUARZAZATE – SKOURA- DADES VALLEY- TINGHIR
In the morning we head the stunning Todra Gorges. On the way we visit the famous film studio Atlas Studio. Passing by the exotic oasis of Skoura, see the Kasbah Ameridel and Kelâa M’gouna. Lunch at the Valley of the Roses. In the afternoon drive along the route of the thousand Kasbahs, accessible only by 4×4, passing through small Berber villages to reach the Todra Gorges where we will stay at a traditional kasbah-hotel (room with bathroom and shower).
DAY 5 : TODRA GORGES – ERFOUD-MERZOUGA
We start the day visiting the Todra Gorge, a narrow gorge with vertical walls over 300 meters placed in a valley filled with palm trees and Berber villages. Then pass through the palm of Tinghir. Later we drive to Erfoud. We stop by at Rissani for lunch and rest. Overnight in Merzouga where we make an excursion by camel and where we will sleep in the desert of Erg Chebbi. Here we take a typical Berber dinner. You will be able to sleep in a traditional Berber tent made of camel hair or under the stars, under the extraordinary desert sky.
DAY 6 : MERZOUGA -TAZARINE- DRAA VALLEY- AGDEZ
In the morning we will have breakfast at the camp and return to the hotel by camel. Once at the hotel you can take a good shower. Then you drive to Rissani to visit the Ksours and Tafilalet kasbahs. On the way we stop to admire the scenery, take pictures and see the palm grove.We will also visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the local market in Rissani. Then we follow on to Ouarzazate through ALNIF, Tazarine, Draa Valley and Agdez, and visit the Kasbah of Tamnghalt.
DAY 7 : OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH
We leave Ouarzazzate in the morning towards Marrakech , through the port- Tizin-Tichka and stopping to admire the scenery and take pictures. Night in Marrakech. We at Explore Sahara Tours thank you for with us.
