Morocco Desert Trip from Fes satrting at 08:30. we embark on a full travel day through the diverse landscapes that make Morocco so unique. We will pass through the cedar and pine forests of the Middle Atlas, keeping an eye out for Barbary apes. Crossing over the Middle Atlas Mountains, we travel through the pre-desert countryside with its deep gorges and splendid oases of green palm groves. Finally, we arrive at the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. We spend the night in a desert auberge (hotel) located right on the edge of the dunes, where we will have dinner local-style and spend the night.
Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert. Our guided tour includes a visit to Khamlia village, famous for its desert Gnawa music. We may also visit a car museum and oasis in Hassi Labiad. For those seeking adventure, there is an option to rent quads (buggies) to explore the desert in an exciting way. Later in the day, we will meet nomadic people living in the Sahara desert. We will spend the night in desert camp, sleeping in a traditional desert tent. Overnight in Merzouga desert camp.
After breakfast, we depart for Dades valley via Rissani, the origin of the Alawite dynasty, where we will visit the souk and numerous kasbahs. We then follow the road to the village of Tinjdad for lunch. Continuing our journey, we travel through the beautiful Todra Valley. In the evening, we arrive in Dades valley, where we enjoy a delicious dinner and rest for the night. Overnight in hotel
Before returning to Marrakech, we will visit the old Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site where many famous Hollywood movies such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia have been filmed. We then return to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains and enjoying the stunning views along the Tizi n’Tichka pass. **Arrival in Marrakech.**
